So it’s me again. What is the new career you ask? Astronaut… Scientist.. Ballet teacher? Taxi driver?? Lawyer (cross eyed).. Well… Although the idea of me floating through space does sound exciting… Or skipping around in a tutu or whatever it is men ballet dancers wear brings a slight laugh.. I could be driving the streets late night looking for the next exciting story or the fear of picking up Jack the serial Killer.. Hey me mixing chemicals (not alcohol) even though I don’t drink.. I did dabble in the paralegal law thing once.. But if you didn’t already figure out, none of the above… I have just became one of your friendly neighborhood vendors (Hey did Spidey just swing past me! Maybe that can be my next line of..?) one of those people who deliver, and display specialized products in the store. And get a sizable but never big enough check based on how those items sell.. I am a Frito Lay vendor to be specific.
Life has always been a adventure for me and working in a stuffy office looking at the
Same walls every day just wasn’t doing it… So I made my move into the vending
Business… Over the past 3 and half years. I have worked in about 30 stores supplying, displaying and restocking Frito lay’s products. I am now one of the many employees of PepsiCo.. (Frito Lays mother company) enjoying the benefits and challenge potential of inner growth in the company. My present position as a RSR puts me in charge of
Supplying three major stores in the Washington DC area.. Brentwood Giant, 8th and O
Street Giant near the convention center and Queenstown Shoppers.. I enjoy supplying chips in the same area I grew up in.
One interested reader, “Hey If I buy Chips in one of those stores will I be helping you out. Mr. Christo Diata Whoever you are Poet chip kung fu fellow?”
The enlightening answer, “ Why yes you will my good fellow please supply your entire neighborhood or church function from there and maybe I can foresee a day to retire..”
Any way My day consists of Delivering Chips to the store (cha ching They buy them with credit and I get my cut ) Then stocking the shelves , building and stocking displays throughout the store, writing an order for the next days delivery and returning to the Frito Lay Warehouse to pull and load the next days order on my truck. Exciting Hugh!
Well A little bit! Okay Okay so it’s not an adrenaline rush like being in a war zone
Or sky diving from a plane for a living. But it is consistent and pays well.
Well that’s it for today’s entry I'll holla again lata for my One reader …
WAKE UP!! Dad
