Old ways or New Lessons

Life begins again.. I was putting up some chips in one of my accounts today (Frito lay guy remember) and I ran into one of my kungfu students from when I owned a school.. (almost 9 years ago now, time flies) .. He naturally asked where my new school was and I told him I had stopped teaching private classes two years ago. His next statement was kind of flattering. He said he felt like he had run into Yoda and was looking for a place to continue his martial arts training.

The thought of light sabers and using the force added dimensions to the everyday slinging of chips on the shelf.. but in reality every time I put the chips on the shelf I practice martial arts… similar to the karate kids wax on wax off I do my daily activities in motions similar to punching and blocking, using many of he same motions and muscle groups I would use practicing kungfu and it has always been fun for me… Anyway getting off of the story. I have been faced with a BIG LIFE decision whether to open another kungfu school and continue teaching or should I humble myself and go into a new martial arts system (hopefully where nobody knows me) and learn another style of martial arts…. Mmmmmm.. The truth being you never stop learning but it is easier to train ones self if you are not also the head instructor in charge of teaching… Anyway HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! To my one reader sadly I lost my other one.
This is shown clearly by the 143 hits this page received since I added a counter last October. Oh well back to slinging the chips.

PS My book got a write up in the first edition of the Garveys magazine previously the newspaper... glad people are still reading...
