Stand for Change

Wow has anyone checked out the republican TV adds to get McCain into the presidency. They are running such a negative campaign. Rather than centering on what they can do for the country. They are centering on feeding on deep seeded fears of America.

Not to center on the fears thing yet.

I will analyze one of the ads. An Ad that states Obama is not willing to use American resources to get rid of the oil crisis. Stating that he is against offshore drilling as well as building more Oil drills within the continental United States. MMMMM What does this mean… MMMMM

Well the Bush’s dare I say were speaking of drilling in Our (meaning the American people’s) National Parks.. Is McCain indirectly saying that he is also willing to do this..

Or the Bush’s wanted to Drill Offshore, is McCain saying in this add that he is willing to continue to try to do this even though the American people already shot these Ideas down… Hey why even bother voting for McCain let’s reelect Bush If we’re going to try to use the same Non-working policies.

How many remember the damage done to the American shorelines from oil spills. The increase in price of seafood and crabs.. How many people are willing to see Oil pumps in the middle of Yellowstone Park, By the Grand Canyon, Or any of the other National parks throughout our country. President Roosevelt went through a lot of trouble to protect our Nations Parks. He had foresight and did not want people like Bush’s Daddy and his friends to profit off of the American peoples needs for whatever natural resources that occur in these parks naturally. In this case the Oil Giants are targeting oil resources on law protected land rather than investing in new cleaner nonpolluting energy sources. These sources already exist but are not being developed for National use because the oil GIANTS don’t want it. Development of these energy sources would mean less money for them.

Hence McCain is the man for the job of keeping the Oil Giants rich and America in the Stone Age. Obama is the man for looking for Change. I am for Change.. Ignore the negativity and name-calling and look to the future of our country. Tell McCain we are interested in a Campaign how you can make our country better, not keep it the same. In November I hope we all stand for Change when we vote.

Countdown till the ONE

Hello everyone… Yeah I said ONE… I am going through countdown fever.. Only ten weeks till that day I will no longer be single again. I will marry my sweetheart. (Oh NO I see a man in tuxs waving his arms screaming as he is dragged down the isle to that final I DO as single brothers clinch their fist saying don’t do it man don’t do it..) My sweetie already cut up my brother card. I am no longer an active member. I picked up my I will never admit I’m close to being whipped and no longer a single man’s club card today in preparation for the wedding. I actually look forward to having a wife again.

My main goal now is to survive the preparations for the wedding. The cost almost makes me want to go and pick up the help wanted ads. Hell looking in my sweeties brown eyes make me wanna… wanna pick up the help wanted ads.. Lawd.. I hope I didn’t just say that.. we are teaming up to cover the costs. So I don’t have to do it myself. Plus you wouldn’t believe how many close friends have pitched in with gifts to the wedding like; a cousin friend picked up my sweetie’s wedding dress tab, and another expert baketress (is that a word) chef friend lady is making the wedding cake. (smile)

Traditionally the bride’s father picks up the tab for the wedding. In this case her father is deceased. Even then very few people follow tradition. My biggest problem right now is guest list verses cost. The church can comfortably fit 300, which I could easily fill but reception wise I am only willing to pay up for 120 guests and I’m sweating that… (Dang just wet up another tee shirt.) It’s like every time we add an event or option to the wedding I hear a drum roll, but weddings only happen once for those more fortunate of us and this will be her first and god willing last wedding so we are teaming up to make it special one.

One for all and all for one

One forever

One and only

Once

Well you get it and if you don’t I’ll pray for you…

Lata for now.

WHo's gonna vote?

Hey it’s me again. The Chip and poet guy, I can tell how many readers I have by the many votes in Christo Diata Who? Poll to the right… So I will write this entry to that one loyal reader.

We are coming up on an historic presidential election. There is the possibility of the first dare I say Black president. I know some of the Good old Boys from the old days are turning in their graves now. I wonder how many brothers and sisters will vote for Obama just because he’s black. I wonder how many will vote because they vote party lines.

Me myself I will vote for the candidate I feel will best represent my interests in the position of the presidency. At this time the clear choice for me is Obama although I have not cast my vote yet.

Obama seems to represent change. Something this country is in dire need of. Whether it be our international reputation of Invading countries illegally (whoops I’m sorry) Invading countries that could not successfully shoot down one American Jet before they attacked us on our shores using weapons of Mass Destruction. Weapons of mass destruction that to this day have not been located. . (Don’t be fooled I support our troops and want each and every one of them to return home safely.) Or change to our internal policies with overpriced health care and rising Food and gas costs.

Mcclain on the other hand is a surviving war hero. Although there is little else known about his military record. As well he graduated something like 194 in his college class of about 200. (1 being the highest level of grad. 200 being, well a grad but not top in the class) Me myself I want an intelligent president.
No more puppets or daddy pleasers.

So at this time my choice for president is clear although I have not cast my vote yet and reserve the right to change my mind to the candidate who best represents my interests and beliefs.

I would like to thank Hannika who asked me for a personal poem.

She is the first of 2008. Check it out on http://touchingthesoulofasista.blogspot.com
